The clowns ultimatum
Our lives travel like a circus
Perhaps I've let you down?
Our's is a repeated performance
You say I've acted akin to a clown
I don’t want to be a juggler
Or walk the type rope wire
No need to be the strong man
No desire to breathe more fire
Lets hit the pegs in for good
For the sake of history and love
No more buckets of confetti
The last rabbit becoming a dove
Retire the big top announcer
The caged lions can be saved
Ill hang up my ring master coat
The bearded lady can be shaved
Will we envy the next circus generation?
With ever changing audiences to kill
A warning to the shadow of my youth
This retiring clown has big shoes to fill
